Ever since the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's latest track Besharam Rang, fans have been going crazy over the chemistry between the two stars. After the release of SRK and Deepika's song Besharam Rang from Pathaan on December 12, fans have been enjoying the sizzling chemistry of the two stars after their last film together, Happy New Year! Some shared a screenshot of a particular scene from the song where Deepika is seen in a saffron bikini and SRK is holding her from behind. When users questioned the outfit, Payal Rohatgi endorsed the song, calling it "glamorous".
Reacting to the objections raised by netizens regarding Deepika's outfit in the song, the actress said, "I feel that all the objections that have been raised are completely unnecessary. People are focusing on a particular color which is not right. Deepika's outfit in the song did not flatter." some particular god or even, for example, to insult them. How can people target someone because of a certain color?
Payal, who was also a contestant on the reality show Lock Up, shared how their uniforms were saffron in colour. The 36 China Town actress shunned people with such a mentality, saying how much she enjoyed their thought processes.
"I remember being a part of a reality show where our costumes were the same color. We wore them, kicked them and sometimes even ripped them off in anger. Does that make us wrong? People who object to the idea of the process are really stupid. I feel such acts only prove that they are only doing it for publicity,” Payal said.
Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra was among those who showed their displeasure with the song. The minister threatened not to let Pathaan release in the state unless the film's clothes and scenes were changed. He said the costumes and scenes should be fixed or deleted, only then it would be worth considering releasing Pathaan in MP.
Payal expressed her disagreement with the MP's statement and shared that such remarks will never be taken seriously by people. "We remain in a democratic country and artistes have complete film freedom. If people, especially ministers, are going to speak on such baseless issues, who would take them seriously? Pathaan will hit the big screens on January 25, 2023. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The multi-starrer is directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is said to be a high-octane action flick. Salman Khan will make a cameo appearance in the film.
